Tofu Dippers

Makes 7 Toddler Servings (2 pieces each serving)

210 g of smoked tofu or firm tofu

3 TBSP Hummus

1/3 cup Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs- panko or homemade breadcrumbs

Spread bread crumbs on a plate.

Slice the Tofu into 14 slices. I cut the entire block directly in half and then into 7 slices each side.

Lightly dip in hummus – they don’t have to be completely covered or even.

Then flip in the bread crumbs, covering both sides.

Place into a pan and turn on to low heat. Once you have the pan full turn the heat up to medium and cook on each side 4-7 minutes, depending on how crispy you like them. Flipping once or twice, as needed. Tofu is already cooked so you don’t need to worry about under cooking.

Optional Adds

Into the bread crumbs you can add hemp seeds, flax meal, oregano, sesame seeds or fine ground nuts. Each adding their own extra nutrients!

My son also loves dipping these in my tomato soup.
